Our Programs

At DPOL, we believe that every pet deserves a safe and loving home. By providing affordable spay/neuter services, education, and community support, we’re reducing pet overpopulation and keeping animals out of shelters. Our work is only possible thanks to the dedicated volunteers, donors, and advocates who share our mission of responsible pet care.

In January 2025, we expanded our impact and opened The Fix, a brick-and-mortar spay/neuter facility to serve the general public and combat the pet overpopulation epidemic.

We provide accessible, affordable, and timely spay/neuter services for dogs and cats in Livingston Parish. There are no income requirements or reducing restrictions, making it easy for everyone to get their pets spayed or neutered, prevent unwanted litters, reduce shelter overcrowding, and improve community animal welfare.

What We Offer:

  • Affordable Spay/Neuter & Microchipping: We provide low-cost spay/neuter services with fixed fees. Microchipping and vaccines are included to help keep pets safe and easily identified.

  • Low-Cost Annuals & Quick Vaccine Appointments: We offer affordable annual wellness services and quick vaccine appointments to keep pets healthy and up-to-date. These streamlined visits are convenient, budget-friendly, and designed to make preventive care easy.

  • Vouchers for Reduced Costs: Limited numbers available for families facing financial hardships.

  • Community Pet pantry: No pet should go hungry due to financial hardship. Our Pet Pantry provides pet food and essential supplies to families struggling to afford care for their pets. By offering temporary assistance, we help keep pets in their homes and out of shelters.
