Low Cost Veterinary Services « Dog People of Livingston Parish

With the rising costs of nearly every aspect of our lives, we understand the need for affordable yet good care for your pets. The ever increasing pet population in our parish and surrounding ones is astounding; spay and neuter is a must.

We cannot have “no kill” without first having “no births”!

Thanks to an amazing 6 year collaboration with Vetagogo, we were able to bring low cost vaccination and spay and neuter services directly to our community. Dr. Allen has since retired, but we have recently been able to partner with some amazing Veterinarians and bring low cost services to our Parish again!

In 2022 we refocused our efforts back to spay and neuter assistance. Launching “Corki’s Pack” in honor of a beloved volunteer and friend.

Over 150 dogs have gained access to low cost spay and neuter thanks to a grant from the Bishop Family and the Alaska Foundation!!

Our low cost voucher program is chugging along and we want to send a huge thanks to our friends at Baton Rouge Spay and Neuter! brsn.org

We also were very fortunate to team up with Animal Balance and host a high volume spay and neuter clinic “The Fix” in Walker Oct 2022 where over 80 dogs and cats were sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped.

“The Fix” 2023 clinics are under way!

We are partnering with Kat Vet (katvet.org)

In March 167 dogs and cats were snipped for only $35 each thanks to an amazing sponsorship from the Love, Tito’s foundation!
